Geothermal water to water heat pumps are widely used in cases of central air conditioning of residences, hotels, offices etc. They are applied for heating or cooling of the building, and for distributing hot water. They are used in combination with infloor heating, fan coil units or radiators of low temperature. The efficiency of a geothermal water to water heat pump is higher when the unit is connected with infloor heating. This occurs due to low temperatures of operation that are required in infloor heating. The geothermal water to water heat pumps are, prevalent in Greece region. Water to water heat pumps can be connected with open, closed or hybrid system.
