"The heating / cooling of a greenhouse is succeeded with fan coil units, infloor heating, air ducts, or console units."

Fan Coil Units

Infloor Heating

Air Ducts

Console Units

The first choice with regard to the units of heating and cooling inside the greenhouse is the installation of fan coil units (FCU). FCU can provide heating and cooling inside the greenhouse with forced air flow. The incorporated thermostat allows the temperature control, as well as the air speed control.

The installation of infloor piping in the interior of the greenhouse or in the roots of plants can offer heating only but no cooling or partial cooling, due to high cooling requirements. Shading or curtains can enhance partial cooling.

In this case hot or cold air is distributed by air ducts or sachets, connected with geothermal water to air heat pumps. Air circulation and import of fresh air can be succeeded, without additional equipment. The geothermal water to air heat pumps provide the capability of heating one apartment and cooling another apartment of the greenhouse simultaneously, as well as the option of choosing different temperature per apartment of greenhouse.

Console units are geothermal water to air heat pumps. They can provide heating and cooling inside the greenhouse, without the existence of additional engine room, due to the fact that they accomplish all the energy transformations. They have simple and easy controlling operation, as well as high coefficients of performance. This leads to the reduction of energy consumption and also to high money saving.
