The present application constitutes a guide of cost estimation of geothermal systems in residences, which are founded to the Greek territory. AiD Engineering has created algorithms that estimate the thermic losses of a building and the necessary cooling capacities, so as to calculate the dimensions of the engine-room and the required geoexchanger. e-Geothermy online service is able to calculate the required length of the geoexchanger for slinky coil, conical and vertical closed geothermal systems considering the most unfavourable case of rocks. Moreover, the application is separated in two parts: detailed cost accounting and not detailed. The last one requires from the user the total square meters of space that is to be air-conditioned, while the detailed estimation requires the knowledge of each room square meters. Finally, the user can select between the infloor heating or the fan coil units.

The cost accounting of geothermal systems in hotel units and office buildings requires the knowledge of air conditioning method. For the rooms that require autonomy , the application is limited in the installation of fan coil units (FCU) on roof or floor. For the communal spaces however, user is able to select between air-conditioning units or fan coil units. The cost calculating algorithm, estimates so much the conical, horizontal or vertical design as well the maximum or minimum necessity of water supply for the open system. However, it is unable to estimate a combinational system between vertical, horizontal, conical and open geothermal system. Classic case is the burial of geoexchanger in the foundation of building and the unsufficiency of available space, in order that this requires combination with other type geothermal system.

The geothermal system cost estimation in greenhouses begins with the choice of dimensions and the morphology of greenhouse. Afterwards it examines the way of isolation and protection from the climatic conditions, while simultaneously it handles with the evaluation of its thermic - cooling needs. The cost estimation is limited only in the open geothermal systems because it considers the irrigation of the greenhouse already existed. It uses only fan coil units and infloor piping in the interior. It determines the minimum and maximum requirements of water that should be granted in the geothermal heat pumps at the operation of total system.
